Les émotions sont des
grands mensonges. Si les chrétiens adoraient seulement quand ils en
ressentaient l'envie, il y aurait peu de temps louange véritable.
Nous pensons que si nous ne ressentons rien alors cette adoration ne
peut etre authentique. Mais la sagesse de Dieu est différente : nous
pouvons agir nous-mêmes dans une nouvelle manière de se sentir plus
rapidement que nous pouvons nous sentir nous-mêmes dans une nouvelle
manière d'agir. L'adoration est un acte qui développe des
sentiments pour Dieu, pas un sentiment pour Dieu qui est exprimé
dans un acte d'adoration.

Feelings are great liars.
If Christians worshipped only when they felt like it, there would be
precious little worship. We think that if we don’t feel something
there can be no authenticity in doing it. But the wisdom of God says
something different: that we can act ourselves into a new way of
feeling much quicker than we can feel ourselves into a new way of
acting. Worship is an act that develops feelings for God, not a
feeling for God that is expressed in an act of worship.
