"As-tu considéré," demande Dieu à Satan, "mon serviteur Job ?" Eh bien, Satan l'a fait et il ne l'a pas fait, et une partie de l'énigme de Job est de savoir pourquoi Dieu a posé la question comme ça à Satan en premier lieu. 

Les Évangiles racontent comment le mal dans le monde - politique, social, personnel, moral, émotionnel - a atteint son apogée, et comment le plan à long terme de Dieu pour Israël (et pour lui-même !) a finalement atteint son point culminant.

“Have you considered,” asks God to Satan, “my servant Job?” Well, Satan had and he hadn’t, and part of the puzzle of Job is why God put the question like that to Satan in the first place. 

The Gospels tell the story of how the evil in the world—political, social, personal, moral, emotional—reached its height, and how God’s long-term plan for Israel (and for himself!) finally came to its climax.
