La consécration parfaite consiste à se dépouiller de soi-même et à revêtir le Christ, à renoncer à sa propre volonté en toutes choses et à recevoir la volonté de Jésus à la place. Cela peut sembler presque impossible et très désagréable à votre cœur non sanctifié ; mais si vous êtes sérieux pour l'éternité, si vous regardez intelligemment et sans hésitation cette porte étroite par laquelle si peu entrent, et si vous dites au Seigneur que vous voulez passer par là, même si cela vous coûte la vie, le Saint-Esprit vous montrera bientôt qu'il est non seulement possible, mais facile et délicieux de vous soumettre ainsi à Dieu.

Perfect consecration is a putting off self and a putting on Christ; a giving up your own will in all things and receiving the will of Jesus instead. This may seem well-nigh impossible and very disagreeable to your unsanctified heart; but if you mean business for eternity, and will intelligently and unflinchingly look at this strait gate through which so few enter, and tell the Lord that you want to go through that way, though it cost you your life, the Holy Spirit will soon show you that it is not only possible, but easy and delightful thus to yield yourself to God.
