Parallèlement à l'immuabilité et à l'invincibilité des décrets de Dieu, la Bible enseigne clairement que l'homme est une créature responsable et qu'il doit répondre de ses actes. Et si nos pensées sont formées à partir de la Parole de Dieu, le maintien de l'une ne conduira pas à la négation de l'autre. Qu'il y ait une réelle difficulté à définir où finit l'un et où commence l'autre, on l'admet volontiers. C'est toujours le cas lorsqu'il y a conjonction du divin et de l'humain.

Side by side with the immutability and invincibility of God’s decrees, Scripture plainly teaches that man is a responsible creature and answerable for his actions. And if our thoughts are formed from God’s Word the maintenance of the one will not lead to the denial of the other. That there is a real difficulty in defining where the one ends and the other begins, is freely granted. This is ever the case where there is a conjunction of the Divine and the human.
