Satan, "le chef de ce monde" (Jean 16:11) est le "père du mensonge"(Jean 8:44) qui "se déguise en ange de lumière"(2 Corinthiens 11:14) . Par conséquent, suivre le monde est subtil. Cela semble juste. Il apporte l'approbation des autres lorsque nous le faisons et la condamnation lorsque nous ne le faisons pas. Pourtant, suivre le monde - les philosophies, le programme, les récits de tendances - est souvent contraire à Dieu (1 Jean 2:15) et considéré comme un adultère spirituel envers Dieu (Jacques 4:4).

Satan, “the ruler of this world” (John16:11) is the (John 8:44) “father of lies” who (2 Corinthians 11:14) “disguises himself as an angel of light.” Therefore, following the world is subtle. It feels right. It brings approval from others when we do and condemnation when we do not. Yet following the world – the philosophies, the agenda, the trending narratives – are often contrary to God (1 John 2:15) and considered to be spiritual adultery toward God (James 4:4).
