La prière est l'humble premier pas dans la bataille contre notre péché intérieur. Elle dit : "Je prends le péché au sérieux, je ne peux pas le faire tout seul et j'ai besoin de l'aide de Dieu". Lorsque nous prions pour une plus grande conviction du péché, Dieu nous la donnera, et nous serons motivés pour mener la guerre contre lui.
