Quels que soient les instruments d'un bien quelconque pour nous, nous devons regarder au-dessus d'eux, et voir la main et le conseil de Dieu dans ce bien, ce qui est la première source, et en être dûment reconnaissants à Dieu. Et quel que soit le mal des croix ou des afflictions qui nous arrive, nous devons regarder au-dessus des instruments de ce mal, vers Dieu.
