Avant le triomphe, avant la couronne, avant le royaume, avant la victoire, il fallait que vienne la souffrance. Avant que vous puissiez participer à la victoire du Christ, avant que vous puissiez avoir une nouvelle vie ici et maintenant, avant que vous puissiez aller au ciel, avant que vous puissiez prétendre à la promesse que nous régnerons un jour avec le Christ, vous aussi devez venir sur cette même croix. Vous aussi, vous devez venir avec une foi simple, vous tenir au pied de cette croix et recevoir le Sauveur qui était prêt à aller jusqu'à la croix.

Before the triumph, before the crown, before the kingdom, before the victory, there had to come the suffering. Before you can share in Christ's victory, before you can have a new life here and now, before you can go to heaven, before you can claim the promise that we shall someday reign with Christ, you, too, must come to that same cross. You, too, must come in simple faith and stand at the foot of that cross and receive the Saviour who was willing to go to the cross.
