Mémoriser la Bible est une arme tranchante et brillante contre la tentation. La mémorisation de l'Écriture invoque l'aide du Saint-Esprit - Dieu sur la scène de nos luttes. L'Esprit qui habite en nous a le pouvoir de fortifier et de réconforter et d'exalter nos cœurs par sa Parole. Le psalmiste dit dans le Psaume 119:11, "J'ai gardé ta Parole dans mon cœur afin de ne pas pécher contre toi". Par la puissance du Saint-Esprit agissant par la Parole, nous sommes libérés de l'esclavage de notre nature pécheresse (Romains 8:2, 10-11 ; 2 Corinthiens 3:17), nous sommes condamnés pour tout péché caché (Psaumes 19:12), nous abondons en fruits de l'Esprit (Galates 5:22-23), et nous abondons en espérance (Romains 15:13) !

Scripture memory is a sharp, shining weapon against temptation. Memorizing Scripture invokes the aid of the Holy Spirit – God-on-the-scene in our struggles. The Spirit who dwells within us has the power to strengthen and comfort and gladden our hearts with His Word. The psalmist says in Psalm 119:11, “I have treasured Your Word in my heart so that I may not sin against You.” By the power of the Holy Spirit working through the Word, we are set free from the slavery of our sinful nature (Romans 8:2, 10-11; 2 Corinthians 3:17), we are convicted of any hidden sin (Psalms 19:12), we abound in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and we abound with hope (Romans 15:13)!
