Toute notre guerre et toute notre activité doivent se dérouler dans le contexte d'une prière constante et incessante. De même qu'un soldat sur la ligne de combat doit rester en communication constante avec son quartier général et son commandant, de même le chrétien qui est sur la ligne de combat doit être en communication constante avec son Seigneur. Il peut être entièrement équipé de toutes les armures, mais s'il est coupé de la communication personnelle avec son propre commandant, alors il sera isolé et vulnérable.

All of our warfare and all of our activity must take place in the context of constant, unceasing prayer. Just as a soldier on the battle line has to keep in constant communication with his general headquarters and his commanding officer, so the Christian who is on the battle line must be in constant communication with his Lord. He might be fully equipped with all the armor, but if he is cut off from personal communication with his own commander, then he will be isolated and vulnerable.
