Le ciel, c'est la piété incessante, c'est être en présence de Dieu et de son Christ pour toujours. Dieu est la lumière, la nourriture, l'air du ciel. C'est un sabbat éternel. Servir Dieu est l'emploi du ciel, parler avec Dieu est l'emploi du ciel. Oh, pécheurs, pécheurs, pourriez-vous y être heureux ? Auquel de tous les saints vous joindriez-vous ? A côté de qui iriez-vous vous asseoir, avec qui de tous les prophètes et apôtres aimeriez-vous converser ? Ce serait certainement une chose fatigante pour vous ; vous voudriez certainement bientôt sortir et rejoindre vos amis au dehors.

To which of all the saints would you join yourselves? By whose side would you go and sit down, with whom of all the prophets and apostles would you love to converse? Surely it would be a wearisome thing to you; surely you would soon want to go forth and join your friends outside.
