Certains prédicateurs n'apprécient jamais le compliment qui leur est fait lorsqu'un saint n'est pas d'accord avec l'exposition d'un texte par le pasteur. Au moins, le chrétien dont il a la charge se consacre davantage à la Bible qu'à l'homme en chaire. Sous son ministère, l'enfant de Dieu a atteint une maturité qui lui permet de réfléchir par lui-même aux problèmes et s'est imprégné de l'esprit béréen (Actes 17:11).

Some preachers never appreciate the compliment given them when a saint disagrees with the pastor’s exposition of a text. At least the Christian under his care is devoted more to Scripture than to the man in the pulpit. Under his ministry the child of God has reached a maturity to think through issues for himself and has imbibed a Berean spirit (Acts 17:11).
