Dieu tout-puissant

Dieu tout-puissant, qui as créé l'homme à ton image, et qui en as fait une âme vivante pour qu'il te cherche et domine tes créatures, enseigne-nous à étudier les œuvres de tes mains, afin que nous soumettions la terre à notre usage et que nous renforcions la raison pour ton service, et à recevoir ta Parole bénie, afin que nous croyions en celui que tu as envoyé, pour nous donner la connaissance du salut et la rémission des péchés. Tout cela, nous le demandons au nom du même Jésus-Christ, notre Seigneur.

Almighty God, who has created man in Thine own image, and made him a living soul that he might seek after Thee, and have dominion over Thy creatures, teach us to study the works of Thy hands, that we may subdue the earth to our use, and strengthen the reason for Thy service; so to receive Thy blessed Word, that we may believe on Him whom Thou has sent, to give us the knowledge of salvation and the remission of sins.
