Les tentations qui ont été anticipées, contre lesquelles on s'est prémuni et sur lesquelles on a prié ont peu de pouvoir pour nous nuire. Jésus nous dit de "veiller et de prier, afin que vous ne tombiez pas dans la tentation" (Marc 14:38). La victoire sur la tentation vient du fait que l'on s'y prépare constamment, ce qui, à son tour, vient du fait que l'on s'appuie constamment sur le Seigneur.

Temptations that have been anticipated, guarded against, and prayed about have little power to harm us. Jesus tells us to “keep watching and praying, that you may not come into temptation” (Mark 14:38). Victory over temptation comes from being constantly prepared for it, which, in turn, comes from constantly relying on the Lord.
