notre Père Céleste répands constamment autour de nous des
circonstances providentielles qui travaille pour notre bien présent
et notre bien-être éternel apporte à l'âme une véritable
bénédiction. La plupart d'entre nous traverse la vie en priant un
peu, en prévoyant un peu, se disputent une place, espérant mais en
n'étant jamais certain de quoi que ce soit et ayant toujours peur
que nous raterons la voie. C'est une déplorable perte de vérité
qui ne donne jamais le repos du coeur. Il y a un meilleur chemin.
C'est de répudier notre propre sagesse et de prendre la sagesse
infinie de Dieu au contraire. Il est naturel d'insister sur le fait
de voir en avant mais c'est un vrai obstacle dans notre progression
spirituelle. Dieu s'est occupé lui-même de manière pleinement
responsable pour notre bonheur éternelle et se tient prêt à
prendre le contrôle de la gestion de nos vies au moment où nous
mettons notre foi en Lui. »

actively that our Heavenly Father constantly spreads around us
providential circumstances that work for our present good and our
everlasting well-being brings to the soul veritable benediction. Most
of us go through life praying a little, planning a little, jockeying
for position, hoping but never being quite certain of anything and
always secretly afraid that we will miss the way. This is a tragic
waste of truth and never gives rest to the heart. There is a better
way. It is to repudiate our own wisdom and take instead the infinite
wisdom of God. Our insistence upon seeing ahead is natural enough,
but is a real hindrance to our spiritual progress. God has charged
Himself with full responsibility for our eternal happiness and stands
ready to take over the management of our lives the moment we turn in
