Le jour où nous nous tiendrons devant le tribunal du Christ, tout « l'édifice » de nos œuvres terrestres sera testé par le feu de Dieu. Certaines superstructures impressionnantes seront réduites à l'état de décombres, car elles ne sont construites que pour le spectacle - et non dans un matériau durable. Comme les décors d'un film, ces "bâtiments" peuvent être magnifiques et sembler authentiques même en y regardant de près, mais le feu les mettra à l'épreuve pour ce dont ils sont réellement faits, et non pour leur apparence. Tout le bois, le foin et le chaume seront brûlés.

In that day when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, the whole “edifice” of our earthly works will be tested by the fire of God. Some impressive superstructures will be reduced to rubble, because they are built only for show – not out of lasting material. Like sets on a movie lot, these “buildings” may be magnificent and appear genuine even on close inspection, but the fire will test them for what they are really made of, not for what they look like. All the wood, hay and stubble will be burned away.
