La vue n'est pas la foi, et l'ouïe n'est pas la foi, ni le sentiment la foi ; mais croire quand nous ne voyons, ni n'entendons, ni ne sentons est la foi ; et partout la Bible nous dit que notre salut doit être par la foi. Nous devons donc croire avant de sentir, et souvent contre nos sentiments, si nous voulons honorer Dieu par notre foi.

Sight is not faith, and hearing is not faith, neither is feeling faith; but believing when we neither see, hear, nor feel is faith; and everywhere the Bible tells us our salvation is to be by faith. Therefore we must believe before we feel, and often against our feelings, if we would honor God by our faith.
