Sans une prière prolongée et concentrée, le ministère de la Parole s'étiole. Et lorsque le ministère de la Parole décline, la foi (Romains 10:17 ; Galatiens 3:2, 5) et la sainteté (Jean 17:17) déclinent. L'activité peut se poursuivre, mais la vie, la puissance et la fécondité s'évanouissent. Par conséquent, tout ce qui s'oppose à la prière s'oppose à l'ensemble du travail du ministère.

Without extended, concentrated prayer, the ministry of the Word withers. And when the ministry of the Word declines, faith (Rom. 10:17; Gal. 3:2, 5) and holiness (John 17:17) decline. Activity may continue, but life and power and fruitfulness fade away. Therefore, whatever opposes prayer opposes the whole work of ministry.
