La demeure éternelle

Le Ciel, en tant que demeure éternelle de l'Homme divin et de tous les membres rachetés de la race humaine, doit nécessairement être profondément humain dans sa structure, ses conditions et ses activités. Ses joies et ses occupations doivent toutes être rationnelles, morales, émotionnelles, volontaires et actives. Il doit y avoir l'exercice de toutes les facultés, la satisfaction de tous les goûts, le développement de toutes les capacités de talent, la réalisation de tous les idéaux. La raison, la curiosité intellectuelle, l'imagination, les instincts esthétiques, les affections saintes, les affinités sociales, les ressources inépuisables de force et de puissance natives de l'âme humaine, doivent toutes trouver au ciel exercice et satisfaction.

Heaven, as the eternal home of the divine Man and of all the redeemed members of the human race, must necessarily be thoroughly human in its structure, conditions, and activities. Its joys and its occupations must all be rational, moral, emotional, voluntary, and active. There must be the exercise of all faculties, the gratification of all tastes, the development of all talent capacities, the realization of all ideals. The reason, the intellectual curiosity, the imagination, the aesthetic instincts, the holy affections, the social affinities, the inexhaustible resources of strength and power native to the human soul, must all find in heaven exercise and satisfaction.
