Il est vrai que Satan utilise souvent la chair pour obtenir le consentement de l'homme, mais dans chaque cas de séduction, l'ennemi crée une sorte de pensée pour inciter l'homme. Nous ne pouvons pas séparer la tentation et la pensée. Toutes les tentations nous sont offertes sous forme de pensées. Comme ces dernières sont tellement exposées à la puissance des ténèbres, nous devons apprendre à les garder.

It is true that Satan often uses the flesh to secure the consent of man, yet in each instance of enticement the enemy creates some kind of thought by which to induce the man. We cannot separate temptation and thought. All temptations are offered us in the form of thoughts. Since the latter are so exposed to the power of darkness, we need to learn how to guard them.
