Par l'Incarnation, Dieu s'est fait homme ; c'est-à-dire que les deux natures, divine et humaine, se trouvent unies dans la personne du Christ. Ce qui est moins connu de ceux qui adhèrent par la foi à ce mystère, c'est l'étonnante transformation qu'Il a introduite dans toute la nature et par conséquent dans la manière dont nous devons désormais la concevoir. On devrait plutôt dire les transformations étonnantes, car ce mystère en comprend tant d'autres qu'on n'aurait jamais fini d'en envisager les conséquences.

By the Incarnation, God became man; that is to say,the two natures, divine and human, are found united in the person of Christ. What is less well known to those who adhere to this mystery by faith is the astonishing transformation which He introduced into all nature and consequently into the manner in which we must henceforth conceive it. One ought rather to say the astonishing transformations, for this mystery includes in it so many others that one would never have done considering the consequences of it.
