Autrefois, c'était la sainteté de Dieu qui nous séparait de lui, la sainteté de son être. Maintenant, c'est la sainteté de Dieu qui nous amène à Dieu, la sainteté du sacrifice parfait que Jésus a offert pour nos péchés sur la croix. Dieu a manifesté sa sainteté en nous rendant saints par son fils saint.
