Toute adversité qui croise notre chemin, qu'elle soit grande ou petite, a pour but de nous aider à grandir d'une manière ou d'une autre. Si elle n'était pas bénéfique, Dieu ne la permettrait pas ou ne l'enverrait pas, "car ce n'est pas volontairement qu'il fait venir l'affliction ou la douleur sur les enfants des hommes" (Lamentations 3:33). Dieu ne prend pas plaisir à nos souffrances. Il n'apporte que ce qui est nécessaire, mais il ne recule pas devant ce qui nous aidera à grandir.

Every adversity that comes across our path, whether large or small, is intended to help us grow in some way. If it were not beneficial, God would not allow it or send it, “For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men” (Lamentations 3:33). God does not delight in our sufferings. He brings only that which is necessary, but He does not shrink from that which will help us grow.
