L'Église primitive était plus utile lorsqu'elle prêchait la signification du Christ à travers la lentille de l'ensemble de la Bible. Elle était plus puissante lorsqu'elle maintenait l'intégrité avec Dieu et les autres êtres humains. Elle était plus évangélisatrice lorsqu'elle comprenait que les adeptes d'autres religions, qu'elles soient juives, grecques ou romaines, risquaient le jugement éternel sans le Christ.

The early church was most useful when it preached the meaning of Christ through the lens of the whole of Scripture. It was most powerful when it maintained integrity with God and other human beings. It was most evangelistic when it understood that adherents of other religions, whether Jewish or Greek or Roman, faced eternal judgment without Christ.
