Le christianisme de l'avenir ne doit pas simplement faire face à des questions philosophiques, mais à une critique morale et à un point d'interrogation permanent sur la manière dont il peut transmettre un message d'espoir qui ne soit pas une évasion bon marché de la tragédie humaine qui se poursuit. Son espoir doit être qu'elle vit, et ne peut vivre, que dans la puissance du crucifié.
