Le prédicateur

Un homme qui s'appelle lui-même peut-il prêcher avec la même autorité qu'un prédicateur appelé par Dieu ? Un homme dont la confiance dans la Bible est ébranlée par des doutes personnels peut-il prêcher avec l'autorité de l'homme dont tout le cœur, l'âme et l'esprit sont dominés par la conviction de l'exactitude absolue de la Bible ? Un homme dont la propre conscience se lève pour le condamner pour quelque péché secret dans sa vie peut-il prêcher avec la même autorité que l'homme dont la conscience ne le condamne pas (I Jean 3:21-22) ?

Can a self-called man preach with the same authority as a God-called preacher? Can a man whose confidence in the Holy Scriptures is shaken by personal doubts preach with the authority of the man whose whole heart, soul and mind are dominated by conviction concerning the absolute accuracy of the Bible? Can a man whose own conscience rises up in condemnation of him for some secret sin in his life preach with the same authority as the man whose conscience condemns him not (I John 3:21-22)?
