Le discernement a une dimension à la fois théologique et morale... La première catégorie où nous devons exercer un discernement est celle de la vérité et de l'erreur par rapport à ce que nous croyons de Dieu. La deuxième catégorie est celle du bien et du mal par rapport à notre façon d'agir. La première catégorie concerne la vérité et le discernement et la seconde la volonté et le discernement de Dieu. Ce sont deux grandes catégories dans lesquelles nous devons exercer un discernement spirituel.

Discernment has both a theological and a moral dimension… The first category where we need to exercise discernment is that of truth and error in relation to what we believe about God. The second category is that of right and wrong in relation to how we act. The first category relates to truth and discernment and the second to God’s will and discernment. These are two broad categories in which we need to exercise spiritual discernment.
