Par l'Esprit du Christ, le croyant s'enthousiasme dans la joie de la découverte pour discerner de nouvelles veines de vérité dans l'Écriture qui confirment l'unité spirituelle de l'Ancien et du Nouveau Testament. L'Ancien Testament devient pour lui un livre chrétien tout autant que le Nouveau Testament ; car "l'ensemble de l'Ancien Testament pointe comme une grande flèche vers l'accomplissement que le Nouveau Testament enregistre".

Through the Spirit of Christ, the believer becomes excited in the joy of discovery to discern new veins of truth in Scripture which confirm the spiritual unity of the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament becomes to him a Christian book just as much as the New Testament; because “the entirety of the Old Testament points as one great arrow to the fulfillment which the New Testament records.”
