The Holy Scriptures tell us what we could never learn any other way: they tell us what we are, who we are, how we got here, why we are here, and what we are required to do while we remain here.

James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879), physicien.
Les équations de Maxwell ont été à la base de notre révolution technologique ; sans elles, nous n'aurions pas eu de télévision, de radio, d'ordinateurs, d'iPods, de rayons X, etc.
Ann Lamont, 21 Great Scientists who believed the Bible, p.208, Creation Science Foundation, © 1995
Almighty God, who has created man in Thine own image, and made him a living soul that he might seek after Thee, and have dominion over Thy creatures, teach us to study the works of Thy hands, that we may subdue the earth to our use, and strengthen the reason for Thy service; so to receive Thy blessed Word, that we may believe on Him whom Thou has sent, to give us the knowledge of salvation and the remission of sins. All of which we ask in the name of the same Jesus Christ, our Lord.
James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879), physicist
Maxwell’s equations were foundational for our revolution in technology; without them we would have had no television, radio, computers, iPods, X ray etc.

Phillip E. Johnson
We're not trying to prove the character of God through science. That's a bad idea. What I'm trying to do is clear away the misunderstandings, the debris that prevent people from accepting that God who wants to accept them.

Jerry Bridges, Transforming Grace, NavPress, 1991, p. 199.
Gratitude is a handmaiden of contentment. An ever-growing attitude of gratitude will certainly make us more content since we will be focusing more on what we do have, both spiritually and materially, than on what we do not have. But contentment is more than focusing on what we have. It is focusing on the fact that all we do have; we have by the grace of God. We do not deserve anything we have, materially or spiritually. It is all by His grace.
Jerry Bridges, Transforming Grace, NavPress, 1991, p. 199.
Peter Kreeft
We are all insane. That is what original sin means. Sin is insanity. It is preferring finite joy to infinite joy, creatures to the Creator, an unhappy, Godless self to a happy, God-filled self Only God can save us from this disease. That is what the name "Jesus" means: 'God saves'.
Peter Kreeft
Albert Einstein
God reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists.
Albert Einstein
Watchman Nee
To seek the filling of the Holy Spirit in order to be a powerful spiritual person is solely to please himself, to make himself happy. For were he to live purely for God and His work this believer would not consider his personal happiness or feeling.
Watchman Nee

William Arnot
The difference between an unconverted man and a converted man is not that one has sins and the other does not; but that the one takes part with his cherished sins against a dreaded God, and the other takes part with a reconciled God against his hated sins.

Natural strength is what we receive from the hand of God as Creator. Spiritual strength is what we receive from God in grace.

Kevin DeYoung, The Hole in Our Holiness, Crossway Books, p. 139.
It’s the testimony of almost all saints that as they get closer to God they see more of their ungodliness. It’s normal to feel less holy as you become more holy. Being more aware of sin in your life is usually a sign of the Spirit’s sanctifying work, not of His withdrawal.
Kevin DeYoung, The Hole in Our Holiness, Crossway Books, p. 139.

I do not deny that the Devil has some pretty apples; I just say that all of them are fakes and that after you bite into them, you will find they have worms. All Satan's apples have worms.

J.D. Greear
God’s goal is not simply to have us stop looking down on other races. God wants unity, not just a ceasing of hostilities. He wants the very makeup of His church to preach the gospel: that despite our racial variants we are united under one ancestor, Adam; that we had one problem, sin; and that we have one hope, salvation in Christ. He wants us to demonstrate to the world that this unity in Christ is weightier than anything that might divide us. When the Holy Spirit confronted Peter’s racism, he didn’t just command him to quit looking down on other races. He commanded Peter to embrace Cornelius, to go in and eat with him. Peter did not go from “racist” to “non-racist”; he went from “racist” to “gracist.”
