Reinhard Bonnke
When asked by a group of theologians about his opinion about a debate going around certain Christian circles, Reinhard Bonnke responded : "I will split hairs in heaven when I am done breaking chains here on earth."

Quand Dieu est présent, ça coule !
Charles R. Swindoll
When God's in it, it flows. When the flesh is in it, it's forced. If he is in it, it's remarkable how approval will be granted, how our growing interest will percolate, and how the timing will fall right into place. It will come together, almost in spite of you.

La Parole de Dieu
" La Parole de Dieu doit sortir de nos lèvres avec faiblesse, mais doit entrer dans les cœurs avec la puissance de l’Esprit Saint."

Victoire sur le péché
Thomas Brooks
To provoke you to be the death of your darling sins… consider, that the conquest and effectual mortifying of one bosom sin, will yield a Christian more glorious joy, comfort, and peace, than ever he hath found in the gratifying and committing of all other sins. The pleasure and sweetness that follows victory over sin is a thousand times beyond that seeming sweetness that is in the gratifying of sin.

William Perkins
Godly sorrow causeth grief for sin, because it is sin. It makes any man in whom it is to be of this disposition and mind, that if there were no conscience to accuse, no devil to terrify, no Judge to arraign and condemn, no hell to torment, yet he would be humbled and brought on his knees for his sins, because he hath offended a loving, merciful, and long-suffering God.

La véritable repentance
John MacArthur, Matthew 1-7, Moody, 1985, p. 66.
True repentance first of all involves understanding and insight, intellectual awareness of the need for moral and spiritual cleansing and change. Second, it involves our emotions. We come to feel the need that our mind knows. Third, it involves appropriate actions that result from what our mind knows and our heart feels.
John MacArthur, Matthew 1-7, Moody, 1985, p. 66.

Comment se repentir ?
Comment nous repentir ?
John MacArthur, The Gospel According to Jesus, 1988, p. 163.
Repentance is NOT:
1. Merely being ashamed or sorry over sin, although genuine repentance always involves an element of remorse.
2. Merely a human work. It is, like every element of redemption, a sovereignly bestowed gift of God.
3. A pre-salvation attempt to set one’s life in order. It is a command to recognize one’s lawlessness and hate it, to turn one’s back on it and flee to Christ, embracing Him with wholehearted devotion.
John MacArthur, The Gospel According to Jesus, 1988, p. 163.

La peur
Chris Mathis
Fear is a crazy thing. It can paralyze you and prevent you from moving into Gods best for you. Many people don’t realize the fear present in their heart because they have grown so accustomed to living with it. Fear of man, fear of failure, fear of not measuring up and so on. But the opposite takes place when you can condition your heart to fear nothing but God. When the fear of the Lord is the only thing in your heart you are no longer paralyzed but empowered. Empowered to fear no man, fear no failure and empowered to see yourself the way the Father sees you which is holy and complete. Fight to get all the unhealthy fear out of your heart today.

La résurrection affirme une vérité
Henry Parry Liddon
The resurrection asserts a truth which is by no means always written legibly for all men on the face of nature. It tells us that the spiritual is higher than the material; that in this universe spirit counts for more than matter.

Une mort importante
Jerry Bridges, The Practice of Godliness, NavPress, 1996, p. 24.
Jesus did not die just to give us peace and a purpose in life; He died to save us from the wrath of God. He died to reconcile us to a holy God who was alienated from us because of our sin. He died to ransom us from the penalty of sin – the punishment of everlasting destruction, shut out from the presence of the Lord. He died that we, the just objects of God’s wrath, should become, by His grace, heirs of God and co-heirs with Him.
Jerry Bridges, The Practice of Godliness, NavPress, 1996, p. 24.

Les serviteurs naturels
Jerry Bridges, The Practice of Godliness, NavPress, 1996, p. 82.
We all know people, even unbelievers, who seem to be natural servants. They are always serving others one way or another. But God does not get the glory; they do. It is their reputation that is enhanced. But when we, natural servants or not, serve in dependence upon the grace of God with the strength He supplies, God is glorified.
Jerry Bridges, The Practice of Godliness, NavPress, 1996, p. 82.
