The peace that Jesus gives is never engineered by circumstances on the outside. Oswald Chambers
Charles H. Spurgeon
If I never won souls, I would sigh till I did. I would break my heart over them if I could not break their hearts. Though I can understand the possibility of an earnest sower never reaping, I cannot understand the possibility of an earnest sower being content not to reap. I cannot comprehend any one of you Christian people trying to win souls and not having results, and being satisfied without results.
Charles H. Spurgeon

There is no greater love song to proclaim than the once for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord at Calvary, but yet others feel content to sing about the chaff of this world. What the New Testament church wrestled with the least is what our industry craves the most – money. How dare we think we can play politics with God, with His truth and with His church? We can’t negotiate with sin no matter what kind of capital is at stake – and that really is the issue here.

Like the daily manna that God provided the Israelites in the desert, He provides the fresh grace that is sufficient for each day’s burdens (2 Corinthians 12:9). Entrust the unpredictable future to the predictable grace of Him who promises “your strength will equal your days” (Deuteronomy 33:25-NIV). “[Cast] all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Then trust Him for all things. For all things and your life lie in the palm of His wise and loving hands (Proverbs 3:5-8). And if His firm grip is upon you, how can you be gripped with anxiety? Satan, “the ruler of this world” (John16:11) is the (John 8:44) “father of lies” who (2 Corinthians 11:14) “disguises himself as an angel of light.” Therefore, following the world is subtle. It feels right. It brings approval from others when we do and condemnation when we do not. Yet following the world – the philosophies, the agenda, the trending narratives – are often contrary to God (1 John 2:15) and considered to be spiritual adultery toward God (James 4:4).
