Bruce Ware
Works that are the outflowing of our salvation are never, then, the root or the basis of our right standing before God, but rather they are the fruit or the demonstration of our true salvation. They testify to the genuineness and reality that we are now His children, that His Spirit lives within, and that the faith that brought us justification continues as a living faith now to bring us ongoing sanctification.

La règle à suivre
Martin Luther
The rule is: listen and allow the Word to make the beginning, then the knowing [God] will nicely follow. If, however, you do not listen, you will never know anything. For it is decreed, God will not be seen, known, or comprehended except through his Word alone. Whatever therefore one undertakes for salvation apart from the Word is in vain. God will not respond to that. He will not have it. He will not tolerate any other way. Therefore, let his Book in which He speaks to you be commended to you. For he did not cause it to be written to no purpose. He did not want us to let it lie there in neglect, as if he were speaking with mice under the bench or with flies on the pulpit. We are to read it, to think and speak about it, and to study it, certain that He Himself, not an angel or a creature, is speaking with us in it.

Le pouvoir de nous réjouir
Steven Furtick
The truth is, many of us are stuck at the gate, waiting for God to give us something that’s already ours. We’re waiting for joy when God has given us the power to rejoice. We’re waiting for encouragement to come to us when, in fact, the encouragement we need is locked in an opportunity God has given us to encourage someone else.

Le temps perdu
Le temps perdu ne peut jamais être récupéré. Le temps ne peut pas être accumulé, mais seulement bien utilisé.

Time lost can never be retrieved. Time cannot be hoarded, only spent well.

Par sa vie, sa mort et sa résurrection
R. C. Sproul
By His life, death, and resurrection, our Savior has conquered our enemies, and by His Spirit He has granted us to share in the victory.

Histoire vraie

Amy Carmichael
Even though we must walk in the land of fear, there is no need to fear. The power of His resurrection comes before the fellowship of His sufferings.

L'illumination de l'Esprit
Alwyn York, The Holy Spirits Illumination of Scripture.
The doctrine of the Spirit’s illumination should be an encouragement to ordinary people that they can read the Bible with profit. Contrary to what the Roman church claimed at the time of the Reformation, we do not need some external human authority to present us with a sound interpretation of the Bible. And contrary to the fears of some people in the church, we do not need to have advanced degrees in Bible and theology to be able to read and understand God’s Word. Right understanding of the Bible is not dependent upon what the world considers great learning. As the Lord Jesus said, the truths of Scripture are often concealed from the wise and learned and revealed to babes. With the aid of the Spirit, all of God’s people can understand His Word.

Est-ce que Dieu entend nos prières ?
Jim Elliff
God does hear our prayers. Though God has taught us that He chooses all who are His before the foundation of the world, He also taught us that we should pray, and not only pray, but expect the answer to our prayers. It is true that God is sovereign and it is just as true that He answers prayer. In fact, He could not answer prayer if He were not in control of all things.

S'approcher d'un Roi
Ben Witherington
“ Worship is not about our cozying up to God, our buddy or pal. There is, of course, intimacy with Abba, but we are in no way being set up in a partnership of equals in worship. A partnership or koinonia between equals results in fellowship, not worship…Worship inherently implies a distinction between the worshiper and the one worshiped.”
Ben Witherington
