Nous sommes chrétiens, oui. Mais nous voulons aussi avoir notre part du monde. Nous devons avoir notre part de l'action. Nous pensons que nous ne pouvons pas y renoncer complètement, ce serait tout simplement trop cher à supporter. Alors, comme Lot, nous cherchons plutôt à faire de notre mieux dans une situation désespérément compromise, en essayant de maintenir la double citoyenneté dans le monde et au paradis.

We’re Christians, yes. But we also want to have our part of the world. We must have our slice of the action. We feel that we can’t possibly give it up completely; that would simply be too great a cost to bear. So, like Lot, we seek instead to do our best in a hopelessly compromised situation, trying to maintain dual citizenship in the world and in heaven.
