L'argent exerce un certain contrôle sur nous parce qu'il semble nous promettre tant de [fausses] promesses de bonheur. Il nous murmure avec force : "Pensez et agissez de manière à vous mettre en position de profiter de mes avantages". Il peut s'agir de voler, d'emprunter ou de travailler. L'argent promet le bonheur, et nous le servons [Matthieu 6:24] en croyant à cette promesse et en marchant par cette foi.

Money exerts a certain control over us because it seems to hold out so much [false] promise of happiness. It whispers with great force, “Think and act so as to get into a position to enjoy my benefits.” This may include stealing, borrowing, or working.
