La négligence dans la prière dessèche l'homme intérieur. Rien ne peut s'y substituer, pas même le travail chrétien. Beaucoup sont tellement préoccupés par le travail qu'ils ne laissent que peu de temps à la prière. Ils ne peuvent donc pas chasser les démons. La prière nous permet d'abord de vaincre l'ennemi intérieurement, puis de le combattre extérieurement.

Negligence in prayer withers the inner man. Nothing can be a substitute for it, not even Christian work. Many are so preoccupied with work that they allow little time for prayer. Hence they cannot cast out demons. Prayer enables us first inwardly to overcome the enemy and then outwardly to deal with him.
